Sastra Pratibhas 2016-17 met the Hon. Ambassador Ahmed Javed

Science India Forum KSA members met Hon. Ambassador Ahmed Javed along with Sastra Pratibhas for the year 2016-17 & 2017-18. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce sastra pratibhas and explain the current level of activities in the kingdom. Dr. Suhel Ajaz khan, Deputy chief of mission (DCM), and Mr. Hifzur Rahman, First Secretary (PIC & Education) also congratulated the SP’s.

It was a new experience for the students and a moment of great pride for SIF-KSA in general.

KSA Sastra Pratibha Contest Results Declared:
21st May 2018

The results of the 2017-18 nationwide science talent search examination (Sastra Pratibha Contest) jointly organized by Science India Forum, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and National Science Movement of India have been declared.
Students of 10 schools from Riyadh, Dammam, Al Ahsa, and Abaha participated in the first level contest held on January 25, 2018. Ten top scorers (Marks 80% and above) from each school from grade 6 to grade 11 were selected for the second level Sastra Pratibha Contest. The second stage of the Sastra pratibha contest was conducted across various schools in the Kingdom and 14 students were declared Sastra Pratibhas for the year 2017-18.

Eight students were declared winners from the Central region (Riyadh) along with Abaha. Wildan Ali Hussain (Daratassalam International Indian Public School-Riyadh, 6 th Grade), Aahilzain Pulath (International Indian Public School- Riyadh, 7 th Grade), Ashay Kumar (Daratassalam International Indian Public School- Riyadh, 7 th Grade), Belinta Sharon (Al Yasmin International School- Riyadh, 7 th Grade), Mohammed Jassim K. Jaleel (Modern International School-Riyadh, 8 th Grade), Zainab Khan (Indian Embassy School, Riyadh – Girls, 8 th Grade), Ramsha
Qamar (Al-Janoub International Indian school-Abaha) Irteza Nidal Khan (Indian Embassy School, Riyadh -Boys, 10 th Grade) secured sastra pratibha title.

Six students from Eastern province (Dammam and Al Ahsa) were declared sastra pratibhas. Ayesha Hanif Kazi (Al Muna International School Dammam, 6th Grade), Arohi Mohan Gage (Dunes International School Dammam, 6th Grade), Dhruv Jain (Dunes International School Dammam, 7th Grade), Nuha Munir (Huda Al-Noor International Al Ahsa, 7 th Grade), Shayaan Raza (Dunes International School Dammam, 8th Grade), Reshma Gogy (Khozama International School Dammam, 9 th Grade) secured sastra pratibha title.

The Sastra Pratibhas will have the unique opportunity to visit prominent scientific establishments in India and to interact with senior scientists working there. The visits to various institutions are organized free of cost for the winners.

Sastra pratibhas will be awarded at the prestigious science gala to be scheduled in respective regions. Science gala is an award ceremony organized by Science India Forum across all the GCC countries attended by Indian scientists and other members from the scientific diaspora. SIF National President Mr. Biju Mullassery and National Secretary Mr. Jayakrishnan.R congratulated the winners and said that this year Science India Forum is trying hard to organize the Children’s Science Congress (CSC) among schools in KSA. The winners will get a chance to
participate in the National Science Congress (NSC) Organized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. A program outline for the same is in progress.

Study Tour Conducted for Sastra Prathibhas & Toppers (Eastern Region) of Science Talent Search at Arabian Power Electronics Co.

Science India Forum – Eastern Province in association with ERAM Group had successfully conducted a study tour for the Eastern Region winners of Sastra Prathibha Contest –  Inter School Science Talent Search which was conducted on 25th  January 2017.
The Study tour had been organized at Arabian Power Electronics Co which is a leading global power electronics manufacturer having worldwide operations with production facilities in Saudi Arabia and India for the last 26 years.
During the event, the APEC factory had carried out a plant visit for the children followed by an introduction seminar on Solar and power electronics. It was very informative to the students.  Students got an opportunity to learn about the mechanism behind Solar and Power Electronics…
